Visitor Services (Part time)
Interested in a great short term part-time job? As part of the Visitor Services team at the Brandywine Zoo, the associate will create a positive and fun experience for all guests while assisting with ticket sales, our Zootique gift shop and concession sales. We are looking for someone to work weekends and occasional weekdays. Our season ends November 30. Hours are 9:45-4pm.

Year Long Positions

Education Program Animal Intern (stipend + housing)
This position is for a year-long intern to work in the Education Department. Duties include daily husbandry of nearly 40 program animals, plus coordination and delivery of on and off-site programs. Must be available to work weekends. This position is 35 hrs/week.

3-6 Month Positions

Program Animal Intern (nonstipend)
Interns in this position will work with staff to perform daily husbandry for the Zoo’s collection of over 20 animals, including mammals, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Program animal interns may also provide live animal encounters or other programs for the public, as necessary. This position is a minimum of 10 hrs/week, max 24 and is primarily 8am-12pm shifts, but could include full days, depending upon availability. Flexible start and end dates, 3 month minimum.

Varying length Education Internships (nonstipend)
These positions are flexible, ranging from 2-3 days per week over 3-6 month periods (12 weeks minimum). Education interns work in the Education Department of the Brandywine Zoo. The role of the Education Intern is to lead informal and formal education opportunities both on and off site and assist with special events. May include some husbandry, depending upon availability. This is a rolling admission position, and applicants will be reviewed as they are received.
