Position Title: Visitor Services
The Delaware Zoological Society is now hiring casual/seasonal Visitor Services employees at the Brandywine Zoo. Visitor Services employees staff the ticket windows, Zootique, snack bar, birthday parties, and membership table. Candidates must be able to work in all of these areas, as needed. These are limited-term, minimum wage positions which will end by November 30, 2014, or earlier.

Successful candidates must:
  • Have basic computer knowledge
  • Be friendly, courteous and possess great customer service skills
  • Complete all required training
  • Be willing to work a varied schedule, generally between the hours of 9:45 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • Be willing to work some evening hours for special events, if requested
  • Be willing to work weekdays and weekends, as required
  • Complete an employment application.
  • Consent to a reference check and required criminal history background investigation

    Position Title: Education Intern - Year Long 2014 (Paid Stipend with Housing Available)
    Brandywine Zoo is seeking a dynamic and engaging person to join our education team! We are searching for a dedicated candidate to fill a year-long internship. This is a full-time, 40 hour a week position. This person will serve as an Educator and work in the Education Department of the Brandywine Zoo.

    The role of the Zoo Educator is to lead informal and formal education opportunities both on and off site, serve as a lead educator for summer Zoo Camps, and assist with special events. We're looking for an individual with great people skills (especially with children!), self-starter, able to work as part of a team and independently, energetic, positive, creative, sense of humor, and has a passion for the environment! Zoo Educators are expected to be fun, safe, conscientious, and a committed leader who gets along well with others.

    Position Title: Summer Zoo Camp Education Internship (Paid Stipend w/Housing Available)
    The Brandywine Zoo Education Department is seeking fun, mature and engaging educators for our seasonal (12 weeks) full-time Zoo Camp Educator Internships. These internships are paid through The Delaware State Park Internship Program. The Brandywine Zoo's Internships offer hands-on experience for individuals who want to explore a profession in Zoo Education. We're looking for people with great people skills (especially children!), self-starter, mature, energetic; positive; creative; fun; safe, conscientious; and a natural leader who gets along well with others.
