Digital Media Internship
Love our lemurs? Care about conservation? Join our team!
The Brandywine Zoo is excited to announce that the application for its first ever Digital Media Internship is now live! The internship is open to all recent college graduates, college students, and high school students with a passion for the Zoo and its conservation mission.
Interns will have the opportunity to:
- Help us develop an evergreen content database through “logging” or “tagging,”
- Capture their own digital media content, focusing on our animals, events, or whatever brings them energy,
- Build and publish digital media campaigns for our official accounts,
- Track the performance of those campaigns across key metrics,
- Assist with additional new media initiatives, as needed.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about media and communications and will care deeply about the Zoo and its conservation mission. Ideally, our interns will work with us throughout 2026 season, and we expect a weekly commitment of roughly five (5) hours on average, with higher weekly totals through our spring and summer than in the fall and winter. Additional hours may be available depending on organizational need. Interns will be offered a weekly stipend but are encouraged to seek academic credit for their participation as applicable.
While many tasks can be completed virtually, interns must be able to visit us in person at 1001 N Park Dr, Wilmington, DE 19802 to see and share what really makes the Zoo special.
Application closes on December 20, 2025 at 12pm ET. Please direct any questions to DZS Board Member Robb Dehney at [email protected]
