DECEMBER
Zoo Year's Eve
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 31, 10AM-12PM
Celebrate New Year’s Eve early in the day with sparkling apple cider and group countdown and ball drop at 12pm. Lucky Shot Coffee will have coffee available for purchase.
The zoo will open at 10am and close at 4pm. Anyone visiting the zoo between 10am-12pm will need to purchase an event ticket. The zoo will be free to visitors after our event from 12:30-4pm (last admission 3:30pm). This program takes place outside, so dress for the weather! Some animals may not be out because of the cold weather.
Online registration is highly recommended since we may sell out. Delaware Zoological Society members will be admitted free, but must register online and be prepared to show membership card upon entry. Library passes, guest passes or any other promotion will not be accepted.

JANUARY
First Day Hikes
THURSDAY, JANUARY 1, 10-11AM
Ring in the New Year by joining the national First Day Hike movement with a guided hike through Brandywine Park, led by staff from the Brandywine Zoo’s Conservation Science and Learning team! Learn about the history of the park and the zoo, and the many ways that you can make conservation action a new year’s resolution that’s easy to keep.
Although this guided hike is free, pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Please email [email protected] to register.
Rest & Revelry Trivia Night (21+)
SATURDAY, JANUARY 10, 5:30-7:30PM
Start the new year with a creature challenge! Join us for a 21 and up trivia night at the zoo. Test your knowledge about the animal world’s restful winters and rowdy play times. Plus, meet some of Brandywine Zoo’s ambassador animals up close.
Drinks and snacks will be provided. The winning team will bring home a special prize and trophy!

Member Gathering & Annual Report
THURSDAY, JANUARY 22, 5:30-7PM
Blue Ball Barn, 1914 W. Park Drive, Wilmington, Delaware
You are invited to learn about the behind-the-scenes activities and future plans for the Zoo from leaders of the Delaware Zoological Society, the non-profit that supports the mission of the Brandywine Zoo, and leaders of the Brandywine Zoo. After a half hour of speakers, there will be questions from attendees and discussions.
Light refreshments will be served. The program is geared to adults. There are no activities planned for children, but they are welcome to attend.
The event is free, but attendees must register in advance.
FEBRUARY
Birds & Bees Trivia Night (21+)
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20 & SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 5:30-7:30PM
Celebrate Valentine’s Day in the wildest way by joining us for a fun, adults-only trivia night at the zoo! Singles and sweethearts 21 and up are invited to test your knowledge about mating, dating, and reproduction in the animal world. Plus, meet some of Brandywine Zoo’s ambassador animals up close.
Drinks and snacks will be provided. The team with the most knowledge about ‘the birds and the bees’ will bring home a special trophy!

We are thrilled to include a photo spot at our event provided by Showtime Photo Booth, the best photo booth rental in Los Angeles. Their unique touch will add a special element to our celebration.
