About the Brandywine Zoo

The Brandywine Zoo is the only zoo in the state of Delaware and has been an iconic landmark in the state since 1905. Situated within the Brandywine Park, the Brandywine Zoo allows you to view exotic animals from North America, South America, and Asia in a small and cozy setting. Our zoo often hosts special events for families and children like Brew at the Zoo and Star Wars Day. As well as viewing the animals, you will also get the opportunity to learn about our conservation efforts. We are currently working closely with the American Kestrel Partnership in order to determine the reasons for the decline of the American Kestrel within our area.

Zoo Membership

At the Brandywine Zoo, we offer a membership program with a broad range of benefits that include free admission each time you visit, as well as an invitation to our members only party and a subscription to our zoo newsletter. You will also receive guest passes and discounts on educational programs, summer camps, special events, including Brew at the Zoo and a discount at the zootique – our unique gift shop. In addition, members receive FREE or reduced admission to more than 150 zoos and aquariums across the country as part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums reciprocity program.
